We have been talking about Secret Invasion, the most highly anticipated series in the Marvel universe, which is set to arrive on Disney+ this year. It shares the highly anticipated status with the Ahsoka series from the Star Wars universe.

The first trailer already left us completely ecstatic back in April. With Samuel L. Jackson as the main protagonist, after several movies with limited involvement, the series promises to be an exhilarating thriller, full of action and dramatic plot twists.

A group of villainous Skrulls has infiltrated every aspect of life on Earth, and if someone doesn’t intervene and stop them, they will take control of the planet before the heroes even realize what’s happening.

And after that impactful first trailer, we now have this brand-new trailer, hot off the press, which puts Nick Fury in the spotlight, and it seems like he will be alone defending Earth (he can always whip out the purple lightsaber and become a Jedi Master).

What’s new in the Secret Invasion trailer

Marvel Studios has released a new poster and teaser trailer to promote the series. In the trailer, we can see Jackson accompanied by Talos (Ben Mendelsohn).

The pair has become close friends since they first met during the events of Captain Marvel, where the Skrulls were introduced to the movie audience.

These aliens have the ability to mimic the appearance of anyone to the point where even an ocular scan or fingerprint comparison cannot detect them. The former leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. will need all the help he can get to save the world.

Another former agent returning to the franchise after many years will be Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). As a former ally of Fury, Hill is upset that Nick went to space without telling her, leaving Earth without the protection of one of its greatest heroes while multiple disasters were unfolding in the MCU.

After all, the massive Celestial body from Eternals is still stuck in the middle of the ocean. However, the pair will have to resolve their dispute later, as an urgent matter will require their full attention.
